16 models for the living room — from compact cabinets to long stands for large screens.
Stand length for your TV size
There is a rule here that saves you from the most common mistake: the stand should be wider than the TV, and noticeably so.
As a guide — the stand should be 20–30 cm wider than the TV on each side. A TV that overhangs the edges of the cabinet looks unstable, even if it is fixed to the wall.
Approximate match:
- 43″ screen — stand from 120 cm
- 50–55″ — from 140 cm
- 65″ — from 160 cm
- 75″ — from 180 cm
If the TV is wall-mounted and the cabinet stands beneath it, the rule is the same: a narrower cabinet will look random.
Height
A comfortable height is when the centre of the screen is roughly at the eye level of a seated person. For a standard sofa, this means the bottom edge of the TV should be 60–70 cm from the floor.
Work it out: the height of the cabinet plus the height of the TV stand. If the TV is on the wall, the cabinet can be lower.
What to store inside
A set-top box, a games console, a soundbar, cables, remotes. Plus things that have nothing to do with electronics — in the living room the cabinet often becomes the main storage for odds and ends.
So look not only at the length but also at what is inside: open compartments for equipment that heats up and needs ventilation, and closed drawers for things that should be out of sight.
Cable management holes are provided. Cables run inside the body and come out where needed instead of hanging in a bundle down the back — the small detail that makes a tidy living room look tidy.
Material
We make it from E1-class MDF and chipboard, 18 mm thick. E1 is a formaldehyde emission class under the European classification — the level permitted for furniture in living spaces. It is a specific technical class of board, not an advertising phrase like “quality materials”: we have the certificate for the board, and you can request it together with the invoice.
Laser edging, from 0.4 to 2 mm depending on where it goes. The laser fuses the edge to the board without a glue line — the thin dark strip that yellows and peels over time on ordinary PVC edging. Visible edges get a thicker band, inner ones a thinner band: a thick edge inside would only eat into the usable space.
You choose the colour and combination of materials together with our manager — not from three options in a drop-down list, but to suit your interior. Before production starts, we prepare a visual in the chosen material: you see exactly how your stand will look before we start making it.
Dimensions and functions are not fixed either. Length to suit your screen size, height, the number of sections, drawers and open compartments — all of this can be adjusted to your space and your habits. The model in the catalogue is a starting point, not a fixed product.
Colour
Our catalogue has models in white, black and graphite — ARIA, ELEGY and WOK are available in several options.
A practical tip: a dark cabinet under a dark TV merges into one mass, and the area looks heavy. A light stand under a black screen works by contrast and visually lightens the wall.
Frequently asked questions
- How long should a TV stand be?
- At the minimum, no narrower than the TV; for comfort, plus 15–20 cm on each side. For a 55″ screen (body width about 122 cm) that is 130 cm minimum and 160 cm for comfort, for 65″ — 150 and 180 cm. A TV that overhangs the edges of the cabinet looks unstable.
- At what height should the TV be?
- The centre of the screen roughly at the eye level of a seated person — that means the bottom edge at 60–70 cm from the floor for a standard sofa.
- Is there room for a set-top box and a soundbar?
- Yes, the models have compartments for equipment. The exact configuration is stated in each model’s specifications.
- Which colour should I choose?
- A light stand under a black TV works by contrast and visually lightens the wall. A dark cabinet under a dark screen merges into one mass.
- Can I order a non-standard length?
- Yes, to suit the size of the wall or alcove. It is agreed with our production engineer.
