The elongated shape is designed for two or three people and for standing along something: a bed, a wall, a sofa.
Two different scenarios
The foot of the bed. The classic place for a rectangular pouf: you put the bedspread on it at night and sit on it when putting on shoes. The length should be close to the width of the bed or slightly less — Scott (120 cm) for a 140–160 cm bed, DoubleCubic (83 cm) for a single.
The hallway. Here the key is depth, not length: the pouf should not narrow the walkway. NORDIK (75 × 45) and SOHO (82 × 60) are exactly that, and both are on visible legs — you can see the floor under them, and cleaning is easier.
Legs change the character
On legs — NORDIK (ash wood), SOHO (metal), Kamal S (black angled metal). The pouf is raised above the floor, looks lighter, closer to a bench.
Without visible supports — DoubleCubic and Scott sit as a solid volume. Softer visually, cosier, but harder to clean under.
If the room already has furniture on metal legs — a TV stand or a coffee table — a pouf with the same supports ties them together as a group.
Dimensions in the selection
Scott — 120 × 45 × 40 cm, the longest. DoubleCubic — 83 × 45 × 45. SOHO — 82 × 60 × 45. NORDIK — 75 × 45 × 45.
A height of 40–45 cm is the seat height of an ordinary chair, so all of them are comfortable to sit on, not just to put things on.
Frequently asked questions
- What length should I take for the foot of the bed?
- Close to the width of the bed or slightly less. For 140–160 cm, Scott (120 cm) fits; for a single — DoubleCubic (83 cm).
- Will the pouf hold two people?
- Yes, the rectangular models are designed for that. For three, take from 120 cm.
- With legs or without?
- With legs, it is easier to clean under the pouf and it looks lighter — the choice for a hallway. Without legs, it is cosier and softer visually.
- Can you make a pouf to the length of my bed?
- Yes, we change the dimensions to order. For the foot of the bed this is appropriate more often than it seems: standard lengths rarely match the width of a specific bed.
